Hi Dr. Sari,
Firstly, I am so pleased that I found this website, I am really struggling with PCOS but have no support, being told that 'its just one of those things that I need to put up with' by my Doctor. I was diagnosed when I was 19 years old, I am now almost 34 years old and honestly wonder how I will get through the next 15 years with PCOS. The only treatment that I have ever had has been the contraceptive pill Dianette, which did help my symptoms a lot. I was on Dianette for over 10 years but suffered terrible migraines and the doctors even think I might have had a mini stroke. I have been told that I will never be able to take Dianette or anything similar again. I now am using a progestrogen only subdermal contraceptive implant because I do not want children. My biggest problems are excess hair, especially on my face and neck, a lot of bloating in my lower tummy and I am over weight and struggle to lose weight. Are there any tips that you can give me for these problems or even where I should start? I am so greatful for your time. Thank you
