Default Is it PMS or could I be pregnant?

I have been on the pill since I was 16 for my PCOS im now 29 and this is my fist time off the pill. I understand that I wont see or feel changes for a while.. but is it normal for one to not get their period the first month.. It has been two weeks or more that I have PMS symptoms Such as very very very tender breast, back ache and extreme fatigue and lethargy like iv'e never had, and recently this week abdominal pain and nothing no period. .I should have started my period on Sunday. I took a PT and it came out negative. Is it too soon? Could it be that my body has been so use to the pill that its trying to adjust.. I feel like my body doesn't know what to do or what it wants.. all of a sudden my normal PMS symptoms don't feel the same as before they are way more intense now. To make matters worse because I have been to tired to work out this month, I have gained roughly 5-7 pounds. I haven't changed my eating habits to have gained so much.. I eat low card high fiber and protein mostly. I'm determine to be patient just a little anxious and worry. I am determined to be patient.. im just a little anxious and worried

    Hello,

Although, I sent an email to you, I wanted to respond to this post as well....

Yes, it is normal to not have your periods in the first few months. It takes time for hormones to change. When did you stop birth control? When was your last period with pill? Without the pill? It sounds like your body is certainly trying to have a period and this is good. Likely you are experiencing some water retention and some may be due to constipation.

For now, we want to be sure that you are not having problems with constipation. If you need to decrease the GlucX a bit more you can do this. I just want you to be as consistent with the supplements as we work through the changes and adjustments in the first month or so.

If your period doesn't start within the next week, I would take another pregnancy test. But like I said, this is not uncommon.

It sounds like you are doing well with the dietary guidelines that you follow. If you would like you can also use www.fitday.com to enter your intake of food and this will break it down for you. Ideally, we want you to be around 60-80 grams a day of carbs from all sources.

Hormone changes as well as not having your period are likely the reasons for the change in weight. Although, we want to be sure that we keep an eye on this as you move forward.

I will be looking forward to hearing from you.
    .
    Best Wishes,
