    Default Rice and PCOS

My husband ordered PCOS insulite system for me and I have been taking supplements for almost two weeks now. I would like to know if it is ok to take prenatal vitamins with PCOS+ in the morning. From what they recommend, I should to take prenatal vitamins when my stomach is empty and I found that taking it with PCOS+ in the morning before breakfast is convenient for me.
Also, I am Thai so I like to eat rice. It mentioned in the guideline that I should stop having rice. I really can't do that. I wonder if it is ok to eat a small portion of brown rice/ multigrain rice. (half cup or less at least two meals a day). My weight is usually in the range of 102-106 lb (I'm 5'2'). I am not addicted to carb and don't have a sweet tooth. Also, I like to drink hot chocolate but not too sweet. Can I drink hot chocolate sometime? I usually exercise 5 days a week (Zumba dance).

    Thank you

    Hello gpsholly,

I received this in the other message but will post it hear as well.

Usually multi vitamins, such as a prenatal are recommended to take with food to enhance absorption of the nutrients and to prevent nausea. However, if you find that you prefer to use this with the PCOS+ supplement, that is fine.

With regard to the rice, you can have some rice, just be sure that it goes towards your daily carbohydrate count. Ideally, we would like you to be about 60-80 grams a day from all food sources. However, just be sure that when you do eat rice, that you combine with some protein (chicken, turkey, fish, red meat, tofu, nuts, etc.). Focus on lots of non-starchy vegetables, lean protein and healthy fats.

I would recommend limiting the amount of hot chocolate that you use.

You are doing great with exercise, so keep it up.

Please let me know how I can help.

Thank you very much. That's great! I usually don't eat rice alone. Anyway, I make my hot chocolate by using dark chocolate powder and almond milk (no sugar added). I hope it it ok since I don't drink it often.
