Dear Chickster,
Thanks for writing in. You are certainly not alone in how you are feeling. I am sorry that you are feeling this way and not yet getting the results from the use of Clomid.
Staying positive can be a struggle and I can understand your feelings. I think reaching out for support is the first step. The PCOS community is filled with wonderful women that continue to support others who need it. Everyone is going to be a little different in how they handle the stress of trying to conceive and how they feel when they see other women with their children. You are not doomed as you say.
So, I am going to put this back out into the community and ask for the women who are here to offer Chickster some tips on what has worked for you to stay focused and positive when you start to think that you are not succeeding with what you are doing.
I do hope that the other women out there do offer you some tips to stay motivated and not get too down during this process.
You did not mention if you were working with other therapies to increase your chances for conceiving, such as diet and exercise or other therapies to address the cause. These are the foundation of dealing with PCOS. I always encourage women to go back to the things we know our bodies will respond to. Yes, many women have tried these but consistency with these is so very important for now and long term. Have you tried other therapies, natural or other?
I hope that this was helpful. I will be looking forward to hearing back on how you are doing. If you are not finding support, please don't hesitate to write in again so that we can be sure to find another resource.

Hi how are you :)
I was just wondering ,, I haven't yet started my clomid or provera yet,, it has been put on the back burner for a little bit,, just to let my body rest and not to think about it to much,, :)
:o
I have recently had light to heavy spotting for the pat 2 weeks and was wondering if this was some kind of implantation, I never bleed unless i take something to bring it on,, is my body trying to fix it's self ?? I have taken 2 test's both are negative,, is it to early to tell or could this just be something else??
Please let me know your input it is greatly appreciated :) thanks again Tara

Hello Tara,
It is nice to hear from you. So, I understand from your post that you are having some bleeding/spotting for about 2 weeks and you are not sure why or if it can be implantation bleeding or what it may be. Is this correct?
It is hard to say what is happening. It can be that your body is responding and trying to work itself out.
If you had irregular periods in the past or prolonged periods that were controlled with birth control, it may be that you are seeing the pattern of irregularity return.
It can be implantation bleeding and a pregnancy test may not show positive until the egg is implanted. Do you feel any different, nausea, breast tenderness, any cramping? If it is the body does produce the hormone that pregnancy tests detect but the levels may be too low. Once the egg is implanted, the levels rise mush more. You may want to do another test in about a week.
However, it may be a disruption of hormones. If your body is very low in progesterone, bleeding can happen. It is progesterone that signals the body to stop bleeding.
Also if you were using birth control pills, this may also cause some bleeding if you stopped in the last month or two.
Have you lost weight or changed your diet significantly. If so weight loss can help to with periods and eating a low carb diet can help reduce insulin levels that can have a positive effect on reproductive hormones.
Unfortunately, there are a number of reasons why this may be happening and I am not sure why. I am sorry that I am not more helpful on this.
Let us know if anything chases or presents itself. All our best.
