can we assert that pcos results in hyperinsulinaemia rather than hyperinsulinaemia resulting in pcos?

PCOS->cyp17 enzyme dysregulation leading to high level of DHEA->increased glucocorticoid->hyperglycaemia-> stress-> increased serine / threonine kinase phosphorylation->hyperinsulinaemia

PLEASE reply if the above findings are true or not. i am looking forward to present a paper on this subject.

I've looked around for any citings of PCOS actually causing hyperinsulinemia, and haven't found any. I would be curious to see any data that you have that would support it, but for now, I'd say no, I think that it is the hyperinsulinemia causing the PCOS.

Feel free to write back with your thoughts about this.
