I've read on your site that it is safe to take the pcos supplements while trying to conceive and then to stop them after becoming pregnant. I'm wondering how soon after becoming pregnant should you discontinue, because I'm pretty positive I ovulated and now I'm just waiting the two weeks to see if I get a period or need to take a pregnancy test. Should I stop taking them after I ovulate and then wait until I get my period and then take them again until I ovulate again? Or should I continue to take them normally until I actually get a positive pregnancy test? I'm also not sure how long my luteal phase is, so I may have to wait three weeks after ovulation to take a pregnancy test. I'm not sure how to handle the supplements while trying to get pregnant.

Thanks! :)

Hello Littlegracenote,

I apologize about the delay in my response. This was brought to my attention this morning.

I am not sure what has or has not changed since you wrote in however, you can continue the supplements daily until you get a positive pregnancy test.

You are right, it is hard to know when your period will arrive with an unpredictable cycle. So, be sure that you are also paying attention to how you are feeling, such as nausea, breast tenderness or anything else that is new to you that may make you suspect that you are pregnant.

If the test is positive, please discontinue. The reason is that while we know that the Insulite System is safe and non-toxic in general, these supplements have not been tested in any clinical trials specifically on pregnant women or infants.

Please let me know how you are doing and how I can help.
