So I am on day 5 of the PCOS Insulite Program and everything is going smoothly so far. I have used the 'fitclick' website for some time to track my diet and had already started reducing my carbohydrates while following a seperate PCOS diet. My question is, In the Insulite guide it explains that blueberries and some other fruits are very nutritious and can be eaten often however it seems the days I add them to my diet the carb count on them is quite high....would it be better to omit these fruits from the diet to therefore have a lower carbohydrate number? I am currently eating between 65-90grams of carbs a day. I really want to do well with this program and just want to make sure that I am on the right track.
Thanks!!
Melissa

Hello Melissa,

It sounds like you are making great progress so far with the changes we ask of you.

You are on the right track and you can still include some fruit. You are finding that this can be a numbers game and that if you want certain things, other things may need to be decreased. We usually recommend about 1-2 servings a day. However, if other carbs are higher, then this may need to be reduced. Does this make sense?

You do not have to take them out completely and depending on where some of the other carbs are coming from, you may have room for the fruits.

Melissa, please let me know if this helps and how I can support you.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I appreciate the fast response. I am glad that I am on the right track regarding my diet. I was very happy to have lost 2.5 pounds last week.
One other question for you - I will be starting the provera/clomid journey in about a month or two.. Is it safe to continue with the insulite supplements while on these drugs or should I stop them?
Thanks again for all of the support

Hello Melissa,

This is great news! Good work, keep it up.

Regarding the use of clomid with the System, we do not anticipate any interactions but you can stop the PCOS+ supplement during this time. There are no interactions with use of our System with the Provera.

We know that the Clomid is meant to cause changes in the hormones that stimulate follicle numbers and development, we do not want to interfere with that process. So, while you use Clomid, stopping the PCOS+ supplement only can be done. However, we have had many women continue through this cycle as well.

Please let me know how you are doing and how I can help.
