Tryingtoconceive

Hi Dr.Apryl -
My husband and I have been trying to conceive for awhile, and we just had our first appointment with a RE. My bloodwork came back and showed my fasting insulin at 18, which shows IR. I just ordered your system earlier this morning (YAY!), but I'm wondering how long it takes to see results that show up in lab work. The RE wants to repeat bloodwork in 12 weeks, so if I follow the program as outlined, would my fasting insulin actually show a decrease in just 3 months? If not, how long does it take for the results to show up in lab work?

Hello and thanks for writing in!
I am sorry that you are having to go through this. But what is important now it that you take the appropriate steps to support your goals.
I do feel that you will start to see changes in your blood work, but the extent to which you see them will depend on each person.
Following the System (supplements, nutrition, exercise, etc.) will be very important and even more so as you will be getting more testing done to determine how well it is working for you.
Scientific research overwhelmingly confirms the fact that a truly effective change in the body at a cellular level needs to be gradual. You did not become insulin resistant overnight. We recommend that you follow the guidelines of the Insulite System for at least six months. Then, we would like to evaluate your progress with you and make recommendations for a course of action based on that evaluation. However, your tests will be done sooner and a trend in the right direction is what we will be looking for and I do not feel that this an unreasonable amount of time to start to see changes.
I hope that this helps. Please let us know how we can help support you.
