ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE:). I also have PCOS and fear infertility but I am working hard to get myself in great physical condition and to take all the necessary measures to get my body ready just in case. I am also taking the Insulite PCOS System and I am very hopeful. I am reading all the books I can get my hands on and have found Amazon.com real helpful in finding lists of books to read on our condition concerning both diet and fertility. If all else fails I refuse to give up without a fight even if it means taking fertility drugs. Hopefully your current partner is not only supportive but patient and willing to become informed about your condition. Good luck on your search for answers.

Hello and thanks for writing in. I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis and understand your concerns.

Yes, it is possible to conceive. There are women with PCOS that have had successful pregnancies. However, as you may know, having PCOS may make it more difficult.

PCOS is a major cause of infertility. A symptom of the condition can be nine or fewer menstrual cycles per year. Because women with PCOS don't have regular periods, many are unable to become pregnant. To read more about PCOS and infertility please visit the following link: http://www.pcos.insulitelabs.com/PCOS-and-Infertility.php

Women with PCOS may be able to improve their fertility by losing weight (if needed) and improving the insulin resistance that underlies PCOS.

At Insulite Labs we specialize in the non-pharmaceutical, comprehensive approach to PCOS.

The underlying cause of PCOS is often insulin resistance. With insulin resistance, the body becomes insensitive to the insulin it produces, which leads to elevated circulating levels of insulin. This in turn leads to hormonal imbalances such as increased testosterone and other androgens (male hormones).

The increased testosterone is responsible for many of the symptoms such as acne, hair growth and abnormal menstrual cycles.

Elevated insulin also contributes to the formation of cysts in the ovaries in part due to the hormonal imbalances and also because the ovaries are highly sensitive to the influence of insulin. In women with PCOS, the ovaries are over-sensitized to insulin's effects.

Finally, the weight gain (if this is a problem for you) associated with PCOS is intricately related to insulin resistance. Losing weight helps to improve insulin sensitivity, and vice versa: becoming more sensitive to your insulin helps you to lose weight.

Women with PCOS may also find it more difficult to achieve pregnancy because of the hormonal changes (elevated testosterone and DHEA-S) and ovarian cysts that are characteristic of PCOS.

The Insulite PCOS System helps to improve insulin sensitivity with its combination of nutrients and herbs as well as diet and exercise guidelines.

The supplements are also designed to correct the hormone imbalance of PCOS and to help restore the menstrual cycle.

Here is some general information about the PCOS System. The Insulite PCOS System consists of several elements, all designed to work together to address PCOS and its underlying cause, insulin resistance.

The System is comprised of supplements, diet and exercise guidelines, and customer support. We provide ample customer support because we advocate lifestyle changes, and we know that these types of changes can be difficult to make without some help!

The supplements are designed to improve insulin sensitivity, help you lose weight, reduce the symptoms of PCOS, correct the hormonal imbalance of PCOS, and help manage the deleterious consequences of having elevated insulin.

Here is a link to a page on our website that describes the supplements in detail: http://www.pcos.insulitelabs.com/PCOS-Elements.php

The diet and exercise aspect of the Insulite PCOS System is also crucial to your success. You can read the general information about these guidelines at the following link: http://www.pcos.insulitelabs.com/InsulitePCOS-System-Nutrition-and-Exercise -Plans.php. Of course, more detailed information is provided in the Insulite Guide that our customers receive.

In short, we don't know how you will be effected by having PCOS but you can work to optimize your health so that when you choose to try to conceive you are healthy and reducing the effect PCOS has on your body.

I hope that this helps. I encourage you as did another women on our forum, to read about PCOS and what this means. If we can help, please let us know.

doctor i hav jus been diagonised with pcod and i feel incomplete my partner is supportive but says he will leave me if i cant reproduce is it possible to be fertile

Hello there, my name is Jessica, I just wanted to say something to you if that's ok. I have had pcos for 11yrs now, yes its not easy but you do what you can. I' am sorry that your partner is telling you if you cannot reproduce a child he will leave you. If your partner really loves you then it wouldn't matter if you can have children. God makes things happen for a reason, when its your time to have a child or children he will bless you and your husband with them. But you stressing yourself to make sure that you can have children, I am asking you not to stress yourself out. Enjoy life, all you can do is try your best to keep yourself healthy, you know people always tell me God was not ready for you to have the baby you wanted yet. The time that you are not expecting it to happen, it will happen!! But you trying to hard is just going to make you feel like its an obligation instead of it being like blessing.

I am sorry for butting in, but I think that is really wrong of your partner to say that to you. Are you married? How old are you? Let me tell you my story.

Like I said I've had PCOS for 11yrs. now, I was able to have a son. I didn't know that I had PCOS until last year that it was confirmed from another DR. that I went to. None of the Dr.s could tell me that I had PCOS, I had done research myself and had to tell the DR. to look for what I had researched, I had gotten done a Laparoscopy and still nothing the Dr. couldn't find anything. I have had one miscarriage and have not been able to conceive since then. That has been 6yrs, going on 7yrs.

I know that it is not easy going through PCOS, but don't make yourself miserable because you cannot get pregnant, I have a cousin that has the same thing as we do and when she went to go and find out for sure that she had PCOS she was pregnant.

Have faith, believe that God has plans for you and when it's your time, you never know God may bless you double, like they always tell me " God could bless you with twins"!!!

I hope that you don't stress yourself and I hope that you don't make yourself miserable trying to get pregnant. Let it be enjoyable!!

Sincerely
Jessica
