I am 41 years and have been suffering with PCOS since I was 9 yrs old. I have never had a regular period without help of medicine, was never able to conceive and right now I am not interesting in conceiving just want to feel better. I have 2 adopted children who are now 16 and 13, have had them since they were infants. I have struggled with losing weight, currently overweight, with diabetes, high blood pressure, facial hair and acne. Will Insulite be a good product for me at this point. I have newly been giving Janumet and Lisinopril to treat diabetes and high blood pressure will I be able to take this with Insulite with those medicines?

Thank you,
Lisa

Dear Lisa,

Sorry to read that you were never able to overcome your issues with PCOS, and I'm happy to see that you've been able to raise children even though you haven't been able to conceive.

I think it would be fine for you to use our system for Metabolic Syndrome since you seem to be struggling with a variety of issues. If you want to add PCOS+ for your acne, irregular menses, and weight gain it would be alright as well.

Our products deal with Insulin Resistance (IR) which is the basic cause of all the ailments our systems address. The thing with IR is that is can cause a lot of issues for women as they age as you are experiencing. The issues include diabetes, high blood pressure, high Triglycerides, low HDL, and a fasting insulin of above 9. You can definitely start feeling better! Especially if you follow the diet and exercise guidelines included with the System that you order.

Also, you can take your medications alongside the supplements of the System. Just be sure to watch both your blood pressure and blood sugar and if either of them start to drop your dosages need to be adjusted. Also, be sure to take your medications away from the GlucX which is a soluble fiber supplement. The recommendation is to take it 4 hours away from your meds. However, if this cannot work for your schedule, it can be 2 hours apart.

I hope this is helpful and feel free to write again whenever you feel the need to .

My name is Charlene. I’m Chinese. I am 23 years and have been suffering with PCOS since I was 12 years old. I have never had a regular period since the first period without help of Ethinylestradiol and Cyproterone Acetate Tablets-35. Taking Ethinylestradiol and Cyproterone Acetate Tablets-35 do help me to reduce facial acne and greases. But I wonder if there are any side effects of taking it. Will I take a higher risk of diabetes, blood pressure , cancer of endometrium if I take it for a long time? Is there any therapeutic method for me to throw myself from PCOS? I was over-weight if I wasn’t on a diet. Now I have lost weight following the diet and exerciseing guidelines. Still I couldn’t have a regular period once I didn’t have Ethinylestradiol and Cyproterone Acetate Tablets-35.What shall I do? Will patients suffered from PCOS have a shorter lifespan:(I was in total despair.

Dear Charlene,

Thanks for writing to Insulite Labs! Sorry to read that you have struggled so much with PCOS.

PCOS shouldn't make your life shorter, and since the birth control pill that you use helps you menstruate you shouldn't have problems with endometrial thickening.

What can put you at risk for chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, and therefore could lead to a shorter life is Insulin Resistance (IR). IR is also often what causes PCOS. A diet emphasizing whole foods and regular exercise can help improve symptoms, as you have discovered. Insulite Labs does have a system that can help control IR and PCOS- it could help you make even more progress than you have with the exercise and dietary changes alone. Ideally the system will help regulate your menses as well as minimize excess hair and weight gain. It would certainly be worth a try.

I hope this is helpful and write again whenever you have more questions or comments.

I have naturally high cholesterol, and I'm trying to reduce it, but I'm realizing that I've been eating things all along that might have been really harming me. Also... what is considered a 'low' amount of high saturated fats in my diet? Every year thousands of people succumb to heart disease. Can you provide evidence in protection of cholesterol and saturated fat?

The information regarding fats is pretty confusing at this point. People have been told for quite awhile now to avoid butter, coconut oil, eggs, meat, nuts and large amounts of dairy. Then came the transfat issues. I generally suggest that eggs are alright to eat in moderation, choose grass fed beef when you eat it, go ahead and eat butter now and again (it is better for you than the margarine). Coconut oil also has been found to be very stable at high heat rather than becoming a transfat like some other oils.

There are of course the 'healthy' fats found in flax and fish as well. Avacadoes are high on my list too, as well as raw nuts.

You say that your cholesterol is naturally high, but is that your total cholesterol? LDL? Trigylcerides? If your Triglycerides are what you struggle with, then Insulin Resistance could be a culprit, same if your HDL is low. If your HDL is high, that would be helpful in offsetting high Total Cholesterol and high LDL.

I am assuming you do not want to take any meds. There is a supplement that I like though, which is time-released Niacin, which is carried on some insurance formularies as Niaspan.

As far as your question "Can you provide evidence in protection of cholesterol and saturated fat" I'm not quite sure what you mean by this. So, I will leave it alone for now.

I hope that this is helpful. Feel free to write to out forum again.
