Dr. Deluca,

Thank you for responding back to my email. You said that the supplements will not cause any clots. Yesterday of course I was at work, and I have been bleeding alot more than usual of my periods, well I got this pain on my lower right side in my ovary, I went to the restroom and when I was peeing all of sudden I felt something coming out. It scared me, because the pain that I had on my side was no longer there anymore, to top all of it off my bleeding slowed down a whole lot. When I had a miscarriage 6yrs ago, of course it was really bad that time because I was cramping a whole lot and this was just a small pain. I didn't know what to think, of course I called my Dr. and she said we would not be able to tell if I was pregnant or not because if it was a pregnancy there would not be a way to tell.
She said we could do a blood test but other than that we just would not be able to tell. Because I had so many blood clots I was hoping that, that's all it was. Could the pain that I had just be because my body was getting rid of cyst that did not belong? Or could it have been a miscarriage and not know?
I am sorry I know there is no way of knowing but it would help to think that it was not a miscarriage.
Here lately I've been really tired, I don't know if because I have been bleeding a lot? I've been drinking a lot of water, if I drink anything else like a coke, I get headaches. What do I do?

But thank you for responding back to my email, I really do appreciate it!!

Sincerely
Jessica Urias

Hi Jessica,

Dr. Shana forwarded your post to me as well. I guess what I should have said is that the System doesn't cause the clots to form. Your body can have some adjustments in bleeding as the hormones change. In addition if there was reason to believe that you were pregnant, I would not have expected the System to negatively impact that. You may have also continued to bleed more heavily. It sounds like the clot was causing the cramping and that once it passed the pain went away. This is not uncommon if there are some clots.

Some periods can be heavier and some lighter and some women will spot in between periods.

When was your last period? Was it a regular period? Are you bleeding for more days, or is your period going beyond 7 days? What is a typical period like for you? Do you feel it when you ovulate? Do you know if you are ovulating?

You may be feeling more tired if you have been experiencing more prolonged and heavy bleeding. But you can have you doctor check for iron deficiency anemia with a blood test. Also, it can be from the changes in your System. You mentioned in your initial email that you have had more energy. So, it may be related to your period. If it continues beyond your period, let me know and also mention this to your doctor.

Much of the bleeding irregularities are related to the hormone imbalance and it takes time to regulate them. Some will need further assistance but for many the System will significantly help.

Please let me know what you think. Also, if the information is best sent in a personal email to me, please feel free to do so.

I will be looking forward to hearing back.
