Hello and welcome!
Thank you for writing in. I want to be sure that I understand your question. Are you asking if PCOS is affected by weight loss and how?
If so, most times the answer is yes, improvement in many symptoms is seen with weight loss in those that are overweight. 5-10% weight loss can help restore a woman's menstrual cycle and this increases the likelihood of ovulation. Also, with weight loss, insulin and glucose levels also decrease, leading to less androgen (male hormone) production and can lessen other symptoms such as acne, and hair loss and even excess facial and body hair.
With that being said, weight loss for many women with PCOS is often difficult...very difficult. It requires consistent changes and patience. Even when women have committed to a low carb diet and regular exercise, weight loss for some can be modest at best. But that does not mean that these changes are less important. On the contrary, these changes are the most important and are necessary for many women with PCOS.
As you may have seen, Insulite Labs has developed a non-pharmaceutical protocol to address all the aspects of PCOS, including the underlying cause, symptoms and long term prevention of conditions associated with having PCOS. In addition to diet and exercise, researched based supplements are used to promote hormone balance and reduce insulin resistance. I hope that this answers your question. If not, please let me know.
