Working Out Around the House
July 13th, 2009
If you’re pressed for time, there are plenty of ways to get exercise by doing everyday things in your home. Household chores like vacuuming, sweeping and mopping may seem less onerous if you come to regard them as healthy exercise, which can help those of us with PCOS to better manage our symptoms.
Always walk around your house when using your cordless or mobile phone, for example. That’s why they’re called mobile phones!
If you have a dog, make sure you give the hound lots of exercise – you’ll both benefit and the dog will love you even more. If you don’t have a dog, consider getting one – ideally a canine that needs a good home. Check out your local animal rescue shelter.
Use small hand weights during the commercials on TV to build muscle, burn fat and tone your arms for an attractive appearance.

I have to agree. I used to dislike sweeping but now I put on some music and start dancing while I sweep. Once I start sweating I know I am not only getting a clean floor, but I am also burning calories.
I am always looking for new ideas where I can get a chore done and exercise. My free time is so limited so anywhere I can get 2 things done at once is a definite plus. Does anyone have other suggestions?
