Healthy Doesn’t Have to Mean Boring

November 11th, 2009

Preparing food that’s delicious but low in calories is easier than you may think. That’s good news for those of us with PCOS who need to better manage the symptoms of our condition either by weight loss or improved weight control.

Try, for example, mixing fresh herbs such as thyme and rosemary plus some grated orange rind into a light, transfat-free spread.

Then use it in place of butter or margarine on grilled vegetables, corn on the cob, grilled fish and chicken.

The spread is low in calories and you still get to enjoy a distinctive buttery flavor … while feeling virtuous because it is helping to lower your weight for better health.
